EVELYN SAM

Evelyn Sam has over 30 years working experience with 25 years in Supply Chain Management across different industries in the United Kingdom and in Ghana. She has gleaned leadership experience from multinational environments such as the Retail, FMCG & Telco industries with expertise in merged organizations.

She joined Airteltigo Ghana (Airtel Ltd -telecom operator) as the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) in 2018 shortly after the Airtel-Tigo merger. Prior to this, she worked as the Head of Supply chain in MTN Ghana Ltd (Scancom) from 2009 to 2018, and from 1998-2008 as the Company Planning Manager for Unilever Ghana.

Evelyn has built an industry-wide reputation for operational excellence and has been repeatedly recognized for achievements in Supply Chain Management.  She won awards for the Industry Personality of the year at the 1st and 2nd Ghana Procurement & Supply Chain Awards. Additionally, from 2018 to 2019, Evelyn was recognized as one of Ghana’s Top 20 Procurement leaders. In 2019, she served as a SCM Judge at the CIPS Middle East SCM Awards in Dubai.

During her career, Evelyn developed and implemented SCM strategies by providing direction, and planning specifically in Sales & Operations planning. She championed the removal of waste in the Supply chain areas by streamlining processes and duplication of services. Through this she worked with various ERP systems delivering value by optimizing the end to end processes. She recruited, trained and managed talent to deliver best in class results.She frequently speaks at Supply Chain events to impart knowledge to the next generation of Supply Chain professionals. She coaches and counsels teams through championing ethical disciplines.

Evelyn is a Chartered member and a  Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement (CIPS), and holds an MBA holder in Leadership & Sustainability from the University of Cumbria, UK

SIMON ANNAN

Profile

Simon Annan is a doctoral student at Cranfield University, UK and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), UK. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Strategic and Project Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management, France, Professional Diplomas in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), a Chartered Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT), UK and a certification as a Project Management Consultant and Fellow from Institute of Project Management Professionals, Ghana and has attained the Fellow status of Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply.

Simon is a passionate Procurement and Supply Chain expert with over twenty years of experience spanning a variety of industries. He has held several senior management positions as Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Management with various organizations

Currently, Simon is the Procurement Consultant for the Public Financial Management Reform Project (PFMRP) under the Ministry of Finance (World Bank Financed Project) and the founder and CEO of SourceOne Management Services Limited.

DR. DELA HELOO

Profile

Dr. Dela Heloo holds a Doctoral degree in Finance from the Swiss Management Centre University, Switzerland. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Leicester, UK, and a Bachelor of Science degree (Management option) from the University of Ghana Business School.

He held various positions in the Value Added Tax Service (VATS) and Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and was Head of the Debt Management Compliance Enforcement Unit. He served as head of General Admin, Estates and Procurement of Non – Formal Education Division (Functional Literacy Programme).

Dr. Heloo has attained the Fellow status of the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS), the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (UK), and is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana. He was also an adjutant lecturer at the Value Added Tax Service Training School. He has completed the Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tool (TADAT) training and passed the required examination with a certificate of “TADAT Trained” from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Dr. Heloo has over 30 years of civil and Public Service experience. He is currently in private Consultancy Practice with a focus on Procurement area and Taxation Service.

EBENEZER ADAKU (PhD)

Ebenezer Adaku is an Associate Professor of Operations and Project Management and Head, Department of Management Science, School of Business at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Building Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana; a Master of Science in Infrastructure Planning; and a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany.

He has to his credit over 14 years of industry experience and has worked on large-scale infrastructure projects and conducted trainings for organisations including ECOWAS, Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Tema Oil Refinery, and Absa Bank, among others.

ARABA KUDIABOR

Mrs. Araba Kudiabor is the Director for Supplies, Stores and Drug Management Division of the Ghana Health Service.  She served as Deputy Director Procurement prior to her appointment as Director for Supplies, Stores and Drug Management (SSDM) Division with the mandate of ensuring commodity security at the various levels of the Service.

She holds a Master of Science Degree in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University, an Executive MBA Degree in Project Management from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Coast. Additionally, she has been credited as an international Supply Chain Manager by the International Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Institute. 

Mrs. Kudiabor has also benefitted from several trainings in Procurement and Supply Chain including the World Bank procurement trainings.

Mrs. Kudiabor has led in the implementation of several supply chain initiatives in the Ghana Health Service as part of the supply chain reforms within the Ghana Public health sector. Mrs. Kudiabor is married with four lovely children (3 boys and 1 girl).

RUDOLPH O. MATEY

Rudolph O. Matey started his career as a Technical Sales & Service Officer at Riepco Limited, an Industrial Engineering Company in 1990 and his specialty was in the field of Reverse Engineering. He later on became the Materials Manager before he left Riepco Limited in 1998 to set up his own Engineering & Supply Solution Company then known as Process & Plant Sales Limited.

Since 1998, he successfully managed the company to achieve substantial growth which attracted Fidelity Partners, an Institutional Investor to acquire about 39.5% Equity stake in the Business in 2014. In the same year, he led the company to rebrand from Process & Plant Sales Limited to Servaco PPS Limited (Servaco is an acronym of Service and Value Company)

He has an accumulated experience of over 25 years in Business Administration and the mining supply business. He is currently a Shareholder and Director of other mining support companies such as Process & Plant Automation and Probicon Limited.

He is a Supply Chain Management expert and a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing – UK (MCIPS) and Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply. He was recently appointed a council member of the Ghana Institute of Purchasing & Supply.

He holds a graduate Diploma in Engineering and a master’s degree (MSc) in Procurement from the Glamorgan University-Wales (Business School). He also graduated from the De Montfort University (Leicester Institute of Legal Practice), with a degree in law (LLB/GDL) and a Post graduate degree in International Business Law.

He also holds a degree in (LLB) from the GIMPA Law Faculty and a Business Administration (DBA) from the Business School. Rudolph O. Matey is currently a final Year student of the Ghana School of law pursuing his Barrister at Law (BL) course.

GEORGE OSEI OPOKU

Mr. George Osei Opoku is the Director in charge of Capacity Development and Administration at the Public Procurement Authority (PPA).

He is very passionate about professional development especially in the procurement and supply chain management space. He has most of his tertiary education in management related field, holding a Masters of Art Economics in Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana, Legon and also Masters of Science in Procurement Management from The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology – KNUST, Kumasi.

He continues to contribute his quota to industry, having facilitated various training and monitoring programs within the sector. Mr. Osei Opoku continues to live by his commitment to the industry to contribute immensely to institutional development and stability as well as ensure best procurement practices within the corporate environment by utilizing accumulated knowledge, skills and experience acquired over the years.

INNOCENT S.K ACQUAH (PhD)

Dr Innocent Senyo Kwasi Acquah is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business, University of Cape Coast. He holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of KwaZulu Natal, an LLM in Public Procurement Law and Policy from the University of Nottingham, an MSc. In Supply Chain Management from Coventry University, an M.com in Marketing and a Bachelor of Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast.

Dr Acquah is a member of several professional bodies. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), UK, from where he also obtained a Professional Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Foundation Diploma in Procurement and Supply. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK. He currently Chaires the Ghana branch of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply UK. Dr Acquah is the Doctoral Programmes Coordinator for the School of Business, and the

Professional Programmes Accreditations Lead for all Procurement and Supply Chain Management programmes at the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He also doubles as the Coordinator of the CIPS-accredited MSc. & M.com (Procurement and Supply Chain Management) programmes.

He has teaching experience in his discipline at the bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, PhD and Corporate Program levels. He is also a training consultant to the Professional and Management Development Unit (PMDU) at the School of Business, University of Cape Coast.

His consulting expertise includes developing and reviewing academic and professional curricula in procurement, supply chain management, logistics and Marketing; Contract negotiation, drafting and management; value for money analysis; procurement and sourcing policies formulation and review; Tender document development and review, Supplier audit and review.

Besides being an examiner for the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) since 2015, Dr Acquah has also served as an assessor for the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, UK. Dr Acquah is an astute researcher whose research area spans Procurement, Logistics, Supply chain management, Sustainability and Green business. Besides being a reviewer, Dr Acquah has published in reputable international journals indexed in Scopus and the Thomson Reuters Master Journal List.

As a testament to his research expertise, Dr Acquah was adjudged “The Best College-Level Researcher” for the College of Humanities and Legal Studies by the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC) of the University of Cape Coast on December 8, 2021.

PHILIP T. PARDIE

Profile

Philip Tetteh Pardie is a Procurement Director at the Ministry of Education. He is a Chartered Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (UK).

He has over 20 years working experience in Procurement and Supply Chain and holds an Executive MBA in Strategic & Project Management and MSC in Finance. 

He has previously worked at the Department of Urban Roads and the Ministry of Energy.

Mr. Philip Tetteh Pardie, as the head of the Procurement Directorate, he superintends and coordinates all procurement activities of the Ministry and serves as an advisor to the Minister on Procurement related issues.
