PRESIDENT
Simon Annan

Profile

Simon Annan is a doctoral student at Cranfield University, UK and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), UK. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Strategic and Project Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management, France, Professional Diplomas in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), a Chartered Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT), UK and a certification as a Project Management Consultant and Fellow from Institute of Project Management Professionals, Ghana and has attained the Fellow status of Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply.

Simon is a passionate Procurement and Supply Chain expert with over twenty years of experience spanning a variety of industries. He has held several senior management positions as Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Management with various organizations

Currently, Simon is the Procurement Consultant for the Public Financial Management Reform Project (PFMRP) under the Ministry of Finance (World Bank Financed Project) and the founder and CEO of SourceOne Management Services Limited.

VICE PRESIDENT
William Oppong (PhD)

Profile

William Oppong has a PhD in Procurement from the Business School of the University of Costa Rica. He holds a Master degree in Maritime Administration from Regional Maritime University. He has an LLB from GIMPA and a BA in Political Science from University of Ghana. He is a Fellow from the Institute of Project Management Professional, Member of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), Member of the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS)William is a Procurement and Supply Chain Consultant with over twenty years of experience from both the public and private sectors respectively.

Also, he has held several senior management positions including the Director of Procurement at the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development respectively and handled a lot of World Bank projects under these various ministries. William was the Project Procurement consultant for the 126-megawatt gas turbine that was built for Volta River Authority in 2008. William is currently the Head of Procurement at the Ministry of Transport. William is also the board chairman of Lashibi SHS and a board member of Konongo Odumasi SHS

EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
Celestine Djane

Profile

Celestine Djane is a seasoned procurement and supply chain professional with over a decade+ years’ of experience in leading roles, spanning local and multinational organizations.

She is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply-CIPS, UK(MCIPS) and the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply, GIPS(MGIPS).

She holds a Masters Degree (MSc) in Supply chain and logistics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. A Bachelor of science degree in Business Administration (BSc) from university of professional studies. A project management certification in PRINCE2 and several certifications in leadership and currently pursuing her legal ambitions in Law.

She has held leading roles in procurement including Procurement and category manager for UMB Bank, Head of Procurement for GCB Bank and currently serving as the procurement specialist with Bunge Loders Croklaan. She has most recently been appointed to the leadership position of the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply-GIPS as its Executive Secretary.

Celestine is passionate about rebuilding a new Africa. An Africa whose people, its systems and infrastructure, its future is completely liberated from oppressors’ rule. She believes this dream is possible if procurement and supply chain professionals on their part can begin to ‘man their gates’ first, as good custodians and stewards, giver of life with every resource handed into their care and custody, one professional at a time!

ORGANISING SECRETARY
Ebenezer Aidoo

Profile

Mr. Ebenezer Kwaakua Aidoo is a full and Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS-UK) as well as the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (M­C I LT-U K) respectively.

He holds various levels of degrees in procure­ment and supply chain management from renowned institutions including KNUST, Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply as well as the Ta­koradi Polytechnic.

With over 10 years’ expe­rience in the field, his professional career start­ed in December 2010 in the Atwima Mponua District Assembly. He has also worked at the Ningo Prampram District As­sembly, Coastal Develop­ment Authority as the Head of Procurement and Logistics and is cur­rently heading the Pro­curement Department at National Lottery Au­thority.

FINANCIAL SECRETARY
Elizabeth Odei

Profile

My name is Elizabeth Asamaniwaa Odei, a professional buyer and Chartered Member of the Institute of Procurement and Supply (UK) and Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply. (MGIPS, MCIPS)

She also holds Master’s degree in project management, from the University of Ghana Business and currently pursuing Project Management certification with Project Management Institute, U.S.A

Madam Elizabeth has over fifteen years post qualification experience in supply chain industry in both the private and public sectors. She is currently with the National Health Insurance Authority as a senior procurement manager that handles all procurement activities to support achievement of organizational goals.

Furthermore, she was recently elected financial secretary of the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply for a three years term of office.

She is a hard-working and enthusiastic person, self-motivated, reliable, and responsible. She is a mature team worker and adaptable to all challenging situations. She can work well both in a team environment as well as using own initiative. She can work well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
