About the Conference

The National Procurement and Supply Conference (NPSC) debuts in September 2025 with renewed energy and vision. This milestone gathering will unite professionals, public sector leaders, suppliers, development partners and global thinkers to reimagine the procurement and supply sphere through innovation and strategic foresight.

John Karani, MBS

Mr. Karani is a seasoned Pan African Supply Chain professional with over 30 years’ experience in major blue-chip multinationals, among them Coca-Cola Africa, Wrigley’s East Africa, Glaxo-Smithkline, Diageo, Kenya Cooperative Creameries and Kenya
Meat Commission. He is a Board Member/Chairman of several public & private sector organisations. He has a BA-Economics, MBA, MKISM, MCIPS, C-MILT, AoEC and is currently a Supply Chain Consultant with several Regional & International organisations. He is also the Chairman of the Council.

Hon. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson (Ph.D)

Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson is Ghana’s Minister for Finance and a Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam since 2009. An economist, chartered accountant, and tax expert, he holds a Ph.D. in Finance, an M.Sc. in Economics (KNUST), and a Master’s in Taxation from Oxford. He previously served as Deputy Minister for Finance and was instrumental in major fiscal reforms including the 2015 IMF programme and the Public Financial Management Act.

Augustus Obuadum Goosie Tanoh

A lawyer, politician, and business leader, Mr. Augustus “Goosie” Tanoh holds an LLB from the University of Ghana and an LLM from Northwestern University (Chicago, USA). He co-founded the National Democratic Congress and led the National Reform Party during the 2000 presidential election.

Mr. Tanoh has held key government roles, including Executive Director of Finance and Administration at GNPC—where he was pivotal in drafting Ghana’s petroleum tax laws and negotiating major oil agreements—and Special Assistant to Flight Lieutenant Jerry Rawlings. He represented Ghana at the UN Security Council, leading mining and environmental policy negotiations. In the private sector, he has steered international ventures in energy, agribusiness, and infrastructure, and currently serves as Presidential Advisor on Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy initiative.

Simon Annan (PhD)

Dr. Simon Annan is a seasoned Procurement and Supply Chain Management expert with over 25 years of cross-sector experience in banking, telecom, construction, and donor-funded projects. He holds a Doctorate from Cranfield University, UK, and is a Fellow or Chartered Member of several prestigious bodies, including CIPS (UK), IPMP, and CILT (UK).

He has held senior roles at Standard Chartered Bank, Ecobank Group, and Heritage Bank, and currently consults for multinational and regional organizations. Dr. Annan serves on several boards and advisory committees and has delivered over 130 training sessions and presentations locally and internationally.
